Preview: West Indies vs India - Tri-Series 2013 Posted: 04 Jul 2013 02:39 AM PDT What Match 4 of the tri-nation ODI series, between West Indies and India When Friday, July 5, 2013 Where Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad The Teams West Indies The hosts have made the most of their home advantage by beating both Sri Lanka and India in the first round. Both their victories came after choosing to field first on the slow Jamaica wicket, where the bowlers did a great job of restricting the opposition under 230. At Port of Spain, the WI batsmen will have to take charge. On the bowling front, it will be interesting to see if the hosts consider Jason Holder's – replacement of the injured Ravi Rampaul – IPL experience with CSK and pencil him into the playing XI. Should they win against India come Friday, West Indies will book themselves a berth in the final. India After their Champions Trophy glory, the Caribbean tour has been an anticlimax for India. They have not only lost their first two matches in the tournament, but also lost their skipper MS Dhoni for the remainder of the trip. This Indian team is not used to getting thumped, and as the stand-in Virat Kohli admitted, they are hurting from the 161-run loss to the Lankans. In the absence of their senior leader, the young bunch will have to rally on and find their own path back to winning ways. Their immediate task is an onerous one – that of winning their remaining two matches with a bonus point from each. Key Players West Indies Upul Tharanga smashed a 159-ball 174 a couple of days ago against the Indian bowlers. Hence, one can only imagine what a hard-hitter like Chris Gayle can do against the same attack. Given his form – he scored a century against Sri Lanka, in the first match of the series – Gayle would be hoping the trend of West Indies bowling first is changed this time around. India In times of crisis, a team's biggest strength is often called upon to bail it out. In the case of this young Team India, that strength could be their fielding. Batting and bowling has let them down at different points this series. Their young, agile feet in the field can lift the team's morale and change their fortunes.
